Tamara Lundgren is the chairman and CEO of Radius Recycling, one of North America’s largest manufacturers and exporters of recycled metal products, with operating facilities located in 25 states, Puerto Rico, and Western Canada. Before its rebranding in July 2023, Radius was known as Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. Radius was listed as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2023, recognized as the World’s Most Sustainable Company by Corporate Knights in 2023, and has been honored by Ethisphere as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for nine consecutive years. Ms. Lundgren was appointed president and CEO in 2008 and chairman in 2020. Before joining Radius, she was an investment banker and lawyer with 25 years of experience, including as a managing director at JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank in London and New York, and a partner in the Washington, DC, law firm of Hogan & Hartson, LLP. Ms. Lundgren is chair of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, a member of the board of directors of Ryder System, Inc., and a trustee of the Conference Board. She served as a member of the President’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations, having been appointed by President Obama in 2016 and reappointed by President Trump in 2018. Ms. Lundgren was chairman of the board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from 2014 to 2015. She earned a BA degree from Wellesley College and a JD from the Northwestern University School of Law.
