BJ Schaknowski is CEO of symplr, the leader in enterprise health care operations software and services. A former Marine, he is a 25-year veteran of the software industry, with previous leadership roles in CA Technologies, Intuit, and Sage Software. Prior to joining symplr, Mr. Schaknowski spent time in executive-level marketing, services, and sales roles at Vertafore and LexisNexis Software Solutions. Throughout his career, he has prioritized balancing value and outcomes for employees, customers, and shareholders; he has also extended this commitment to his philanthropic work, including his work on the board of directors for Susan G. Komen. He received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the State University of New York at Geneseo and his MBA from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business.
