Frank Adell currently serves as the CEO of Cognos Therapeutics, Inc., a pioneering medical device company focused on advancing an innovative smart A.I.-compatible implantable pump for targeted therapeutics delivery in the neuro region. Cognos is currently in the midst of an IPO process, with plans to become a Nasdaq-listed company in Q4. Mr. Adell’s entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding Sensor-Kinetics Corp., a venture that garnered investment from Larry Ellison. In 2020, Mr. Ellison expanded his investment and assumed majority ownership, leading to the rebranding of the company as Autonomous Medical Devices (AMDI). With more than three decades of experience, Mr. Adell is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and business leader. His professional journey began in 1980 as a nuclear engineer at Bechtel Corp. after he earned a BS degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. With more than 30 years of experience, he has also made significant contributions through his consulting firm by introducing innovative technologies to large corporations, primarily Fortune 500 companies. In the early 1990s, he introduced satellite tracking technology to Intel Corp. for microprocessor shipments, ultra-pure water technology for microprocessor production, and RF capability for passenger and baggage tracing to the FAA after the TWA Flight 800 incident. He has also consulted for companies including Microsoft and GE. Mr. Adell received the 2007 Congressional Order of Merit and the 2008 Congressional Medal of Distinction, recognized for his contributions to civil aviation safety, and he has an extensive history of collaboration with Fortune 500 companies.
