Michael Miebach is CEO of Mastercard, whose innovation and technology are powering economies and empowering people. The company is shaping the future of seamless commerce, bolstering cyber security services and data-powered insights. He was critical to setting the strategy that transformed the choices in how businesses, people, and governments make payments. Mr. Miebach joined Mastercard in 2010 to lead its Middle East and Africa operations, where he helped shape and advance the company’s financial inclusion efforts—first in Africa and subsequently around the world—with targeted solutions for governments and their citizens that deliver a commercially sustainable social impact. He serves on the U.S. Treasury Advisory Committee on Racial Equity and is a member of the Business Roundtable, The Business Council, the U.S.-India CEO Forum, the International Advisory Panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum.
