Michael Walrath was appointed CEO of Yext in 2022 and has served as its chair of the board since 2011. He started WGI Group, LLC, to fund startups in enterprise software, consumer internet, and digital media before Yext. Previously, he co-founded Moat Inc. and served as chair of its board until it was acquired by Oracle in 2017. Mr. Walrath founded Right Media—the world’s first open exchange for digital advertising. He served as chair and CEO of the company until its acquisition by Yahoo in 2007. While at Yahoo, he led its global advertising marketplaces organization. Mr. Walrath holds a BA degree in English from the University of Richmond.
